our showcase projects
Below you’ll find a selection of projects that demonstrate our multi-displinary solutions and globally renowned expertise.
Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club
Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club The cricket club at Budleigh Salterton needed to be relocated away from an area prone to flooding so that intertidal habitat could be created in the area currently occupied by the existing club, with our team carrying responsibility for design, maintenance, and construction monitoring.
Liverpool Rain Garden The project utilised expertise from across the STRI Group, with design from STRI and our environmental company EPG, and build from our construction division Carrick Construction. The rain garden was implemented along the pavement of an existing road at Upper Pitt Street, near the Baltic Quarter, transforming the stark and somewhat uninspiring street into a miniature green oasis.
Golf Course 2030 The R&A is looking to mitigate the effects of climate change throughout the golf world. Given our long-standing relationship with the R&A, we were entrusted to produce reports highlighting problems around water management including increased restrictions of water use and drainage.
The Springs Golf Club STRI was engaged by The Springs in 2020 to create an inventive solution to reduce water usage on the course. The golf club had recently been purchased by Darwin Escapes who began a significant investment plan across the entirety of the golf club, with the course itself being the first beneficiary.
Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club STRI was first engaged with Ilkley Tennis Club as part of an ongoing relationship with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) following the longstanding provision of consultancy, research and tournament support services to The All England Club.
Bruntwood Blue-Green Roof Bruntwood Works' aim is to make their stylish office buildings as sustainable as possible, both inside and out. Therefore, the blue-green roof was retrofitted onto an existing roof and utilised Polypipe’s Polysync and Permavoid systems.
Northern Roots EPG, part of STRI Group, were commissioned to undertake a feasibility assessment that would detail the possibility of reopening a park on the site of a 16-acre disused site in Oldham. The area was split between landfill and heavy machinery storage and had been left to overgrow for 100 years.
