STRI mascots STRImmer and STRIder showed great form and held their ground at Wetherby Racecourse yesterday.
The Sue Ryder Mascot Gold Cup, took place at Wetherby Racecourse and is now in its thirteenth year. The race was set-up to support, and raise money for, the work of the Sue Ryder Charity, however entrants to the race are able to select a charity of their own choice to support.
STRI’s head of research, Dr Ruth Mann, said: “We are delighted to support and attend the Sue Ryder Mascot Race at Wetherby Racecourse once again this year. It is not only a great opportunity to raise funds for a charity close to our hearts, but it is also a fun day out for families to enjoy. STRI entered two mascots this year, and were delighted when STRIder (Daniel Dean) came in fifth place, but also won second place for best mascot in the parade.”
Congratulations to everyone that took part in the mascot race, we hope to see you again next year, but in the meantime, take a look at our picture gallery below and see if you can spot yourself!
