We have an opportunity for a highly motivated creative individual to join our team as a CAD Technician. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from designing grassroots sports facilities to creating elite surfaces across all sporting sectors.

Based at our head office in Bingley and will work closely with our team of experienced designers, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You will be responsible for conceptualising and developing design ideas as well as creating detailed drawing packages for sports surface(s) and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong design skills and be proficient in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Adobe Creative Suite and Revit (preferred but not required). Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team is also a must.

 

Key responsibilities

· Designing and developing sports facilities at all levels, from grassroots to professional.

· Creating detailed drawing packages from concept to construction.

· Collaborating with the design team, project managers, engineers, and others to ensure designs meet client requirements.

· Overseeing design packages and ensuring they are delivered on time.

· Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices in sports design.

 

Skills and qualifications

· Relevant qualification or design experience

· Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as:

  • Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & construction package, in particular, AutoCAD Civil 3D & Revit
  • Adobe Creative Suite.

· Willing to learn and adapt to change

· Strong design skills and the ability to conceptualise and carry through to construction issue

· Good time management and ability to prioritise own workload

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
