Mark held senior leadership positions for several international companies before his chartered accountancy skills brought him to STRI in 2006.
His unique and detailed understanding of the STRI Group is based on having spent eight years as STRI finance director and subsequently managing director of STRI Australia.
Mark was appointed CEO in 2016 and is responsible for leading the STRI Group and its investments.
In addition to his professional duties he enjoys spending time with his three daughters and travelling.
Lee started at STRI in 2004 as a work experience placement while he concluded his first class honours degree in Applied Ecology. He went on to work in every department at STRI.
In 2012, after providing his consulting in sustainability, turf management and sports development, Lee took control of many of STRI’s major projects, including the Olympic Games.
He was appointed director in 2014 and now heads up all of STRI Group’s international and commercial operations.
Lee is a keen fly fisherman and has followed the highs and lows of Burnley FC since childhood.
Andrew has worked in the sports turf industry in the UK, New Zealand and in Australia for over 20 years. He spent his early career on golf courses before moving in to the Turf Seed industry servicing warm and cool season climates.
Andrew joined STRI in 2015 in a Business Development capacity and regularly works overseas developing our company internationally, he has a range of qualifications in sports turf and international business.
Andrew is married and has three daughters. They live in the beautiful Shropshire hills where they enjoy country walks and sports.
Annette joined STRI in 2006 as PA to the Ecology and Environment department. Previously working at Bradford & Bingley for 16 years as PA to various senior managers and directors.
She now leads the administrative support function at STRI Group; providing project administration assistance to staff and clients across the globe.
Annette is an avid Leeds United fan and spends most of her spare time either watching football or going to live gigs.
Gareth joined STRI in 2016 having spent eight years working in private equity in London.
As financial controller, Gareth has responsibility for the financial performance of the international group. He is also responsible for all operational stakeholder relationships and oversees the company’s IT and systems. Gareth was appointed to the company’s Executive Management team in 2017. As a member of this team, Gareth has the responsibility for helping to shape the company’s strategic direction.
Gareth is a CIMA qualified accountant with an MSc in Management and a BA(Hons) in History. Outside of work he divides his time between his young family, rugby and motorsport.
Richard obtained an Honours degree in Applied Ecology in 2003, and joined STRI as Pesticide Trials Coordinator shortly after.
He then joined the expanding Ecology and Environment Department as a consultant in 2007 before being promoted to Principal Consultant in 2013.
He is now primarily a business developer, creating and expanding STRI’s Aviation, Planning and Landscaping services, drawing on the unique skill set of STRI to explore new markets.
Scott joined STRI in 2016 after spending over 15 years as a journalist, editor, digital marketer and product manager working alongside some of biggest brands in the UK including Orange, Liverpool and Manchester City.
He now leads STRI Group's marketing, communications, events and social media across the globe.
In his spare time Scott is a published children's author; his novels Llama United and Llamas Go Large are available in all good bookshops.
